Called customer service re: the $1.00 charge that was initially blocked on my credit card, told to call my credit card company, approve but nothing else would be charged. Did that and low-and-behold, 5 days later, a $44.95 charge shows up on my credit card.
Called customer service, they said since I signed up for an "account" (which is required to access the information I already paid $1.00 for) they will only authorize a 50% refund w/ cancellation. Basically paid $24.00 for inaccurate information. No criminal information was indicated, but the person I searched actually has at least two arrests in my state.
Customer Service rep. said criminal history is provided by third-party vendor and there's no guarantee it's accurate-really?
